Bison Spirit

I wanted to capture the spirit of the bison, who represents great strength, permanence, and abundance. Bison are considered to have a strong connection to The Great Spirit in many Native American cultures and to the nations of the Great Plains, the bison often represented power, security and a good omen symbolic of life's sacredness and abundance. This piece is acryic ink on paper mounted on wood panel, varnished and finished with a coat of wax for preservation and protection. It is mounted in a black wood floater frame.
